AI Coach: Proactive Insights & Pattern Detection

AI Coach: Proactive Insights & Pattern Detection

Available from: v1.0.48

The AI coach continuously analyses each member's training data and proactively surfaces insights they may not have noticed on their own. When configured with member consent, it also flags injury risk and churn signals directly to the assigned coach.

What the AI Coach Detects

The AI coach monitors three primary pattern categories:

Attendance Streaks

  • Tracks consecutive training days and session frequency over rolling windows.
  • Celebrates streak milestones within the member's daily experience.
  • Detects streak breaks and reduced attendance that may indicate disengagement or fatigue.

Performance Trends

  • Analyses movement data across training tracks to identify progressive improvements or plateaus.
  • Surfaces positive trends to reinforce motivation (e.g. "Your back squat has improved 8% over the last 4 weeks").
  • Flags declining performance patterns that may indicate overtraining or injury risk.

Recovery Patterns

  • Combines readiness scores, wearable data, and session RPE to identify recurring under-recovery or overreach.
  • Proactively recommends deload or rest when patterns warrant it.
  • Contributes to the injury risk signal used in coach dashboards.

How Insights Reach Members

Insights are surfaced contextually inside the member's daily training experience — they appear at relevant moments (e.g. before a session, after logging a result) rather than as separate reports the member must seek out.

Members do not need to configure anything to receive proactive insights; they are on by default.

Coach Alerts

When the AI coach detects elevated injury risk or churn signals, it can notify the member's assigned coach. This flow is consent-gated.

Consent Model

Consent StateMember ExperienceCoach Visibility
GrantedInsights displayed; flags sent to coachCoach receives alerts in dashboards
DeniedInsights displayed to member onlyCoach receives no data-derived flags
  • Members are prompted to grant or deny coach-sharing consent during onboarding and can change their preference at any time from their profile settings.
  • Consent is stored per-member and applies to all coach alert types (injury risk and churn).

Where Alerts Appear for Coaches

Flagged members surface inside the coach's existing dashboards:

  • Injury Risk Dashboard — members with elevated injury risk patterns.
  • Churn Risk Dashboard — members exhibiting attendance or engagement decline signals.

No new navigation is required; alerts integrate into the dashboards coaches already use.

Privacy & Data Handling

  • Pattern detection runs on aggregated training, readiness, and wearable data already collected by the platform.
  • Coach-facing flags contain only the signal type and severity — raw health data is never shared with coaches without explicit member consent.
  • Members can review and withdraw consent at any time without losing access to their own insights.
