Retaining members is one of the hardest problems in running a gym. Coaches are busy, churn signals are easy to miss, and by the time someone cancels it's often too late to act. With v1.0.102, the platform takes the first steps to close that gap automatically.

The Problem

Churn risk scores are only useful if someone acts on them. In practice, even when a coach can see that a member is drifting — fewer check-ins, missed classes, reduced engagement — finding the time and the right words to reach out is a real barrier. Generic messages get ignored. Delayed outreach feels hollow.

What's New

This release introduces a fully automated churn intervention workflow powered by Inngest and Claude.

Here's what happens when a member hits High or Critical churn risk:

Inngest triggers the workflow automatically. No dashboard monitoring required.
Claude drafts a personalised check-in message — not a template, but a contextualised message based on the member's profile and activity.
The draft is routed to the assigned coach for review. The coach sees the message, can edit it, and sends it with a single tap.
The outreach is logged with outcome tracking so gym owners can see what's working over time.

Why the Coach Stays in the Loop

Fully automated outreach to members risks feeling impersonal or mistimed. By keeping the coach as the final step — with a frictionless one-tap send — the workflow combines the efficiency of automation with the authenticity of a human touch. The AI does the drafting; the coach does the sending.

What Gym Owners Get

Every intervention attempt is logged. Outcome tracking means owners can answer questions like: did members who received a check-in return to regular attendance? Over time this data feeds into a clearer picture of which interventions work and which risk signals matter most.

Availability

The automated churn intervention workflow is live in v1.0.102 for all gyms with churn risk monitoring enabled. No additional configuration is required — workflows trigger automatically once a member reaches High or Critical risk.
