Visibility Into Every Byte — Introducing the Platform Usage & AI Cost Dashboard

Release v1.0.76 | Internal Admin Feature

One of the trickiest problems at any AI-powered SaaS company is knowing, at any given moment, exactly what it costs to serve each customer. AI inference is not a flat cost — it scales with every email sequence generated, every CRM sync, every personalisation pass. As NurtureHub grows, understanding those costs at the per-org level isn't a nice-to-have — it's essential to building a sustainable business.

With v1.0.76, the platform team now has that visibility.

What We Built

The new Platform Usage & AI Cost Dashboard is an internal admin analytics page that gives the NurtureHub team a real-time window into how the platform is being consumed — and what it's costing to run it.

The dashboard pulls together four distinct cost and usage dimensions:

  • OpenAI token consumption — prompt and completion tokens per org, per month, translated directly into cost
  • Resend email volume — how many emails each org is sending through the platform and the delivery cost that generates
  • Storage usage — which orgs are accumulating data at a rate that warrants attention
  • API call volume — inbound and outbound API traffic per org, surfacing integration-heavy accounts

Beyond raw numbers, the dashboard offers three practical views that turn data into decisions.

Three Views That Matter

Per-Org Cost Breakdown

Every organisation on the platform gets its own cost profile. At any time, the team can pull up a breakdown showing exactly what an org has consumed across AI, email, storage, and API for any given month. This is the view that makes plan enforcement conversations grounded in data rather than guesswork.

Total Platform Cost vs. Revenue

Where billing data is available, the dashboard surfaces a platform-level comparison of total infrastructure and AI spend against recognised revenue. In other words: a live gross margin indicator. Watching this number move as the platform scales is what keeps unit economics honest.

Projected Monthly Cost

Based on consumption trends within the current month, the dashboard projects where total platform spend will land by month-end. No more waiting until the bill arrives to know whether the month is on track.

Why This Matters

NurtureHub generates a personalised three-email nurture sequence for every contact categorised by an agent. That's a meaningful amount of AI work per user action — and at scale, AI cost is the single largest variable in the platform's cost structure.

The Usage & AI Cost Dashboard exists to make that cost structure legible. It answers the questions that matter for a healthy SaaS business:

  • Which orgs are we undercharging relative to their consumption?
  • Is our cost-per-email trending in the right direction as volume grows?
  • Are there orgs using the API in ways that generate disproportionate infrastructure cost?
  • What will this month's infrastructure bill look like before it arrives?

Having clear answers to these questions is what allows the team to enforce plan limits fairly, price future tiers correctly, and maintain healthy margins as the platform scales.

Who Can See This

This dashboard is strictly internal. It's not visible to agency users, org admins, or anyone outside the NurtureHub platform team. It surfaces commercial and cost data that's appropriate only for internal operations and should remain that way.

v1.0.76 is live. The platform now knows exactly what it costs to run — and so does the team building it.
