Throwdown Digital Scorecard

Throwdown Digital Scorecard

Version 1.0.63 introduces a fully digital scoring workflow for throwdown events. Judges, athletes, and spectators all work from the member app — no paper, no clipboards, no separate admin screens required.

Overview

The throwdown digital scorecard covers the full judging lifecycle:

  1. A member volunteers or is assigned as a judge in the member app.
  2. The judge selects their assigned athlete from the throwdown roster.
  3. The judge records and submits the athlete's score.
  4. The score feeds through to the live digital leaderboard immediately.
  5. The athlete reviews and signs off their score with an in-app electronic signature.

Becoming a Judge

Any member attending a throwdown event can become a judge from within the member app:

  • Navigate to the active Throwdown event from the home screen or the Events section.
  • Select the option to become a judge for the event.
  • Once confirmed, the judging interface replaces the standard athlete view for that throwdown.

Only one judge role is required per athlete lane, but the exact assignment rules are managed by the event organiser.

Selecting an Athlete

Once in judge mode:

  • The app displays the list of athletes competing in the throwdown.
  • Select the athlete you are responsible for judging.
  • The scorecard for that athlete becomes active and ready for input.

Recording & Submitting Scores

  • Enter the athlete's score in the scorecard fields provided (reps, time, load, or other event-defined metrics).
  • Review the score before submitting.
  • Tap Submit Score to confirm.

Once submitted, the score is sent to the event backend and reflected on the digital leaderboard in real time. All participants and spectators viewing the leaderboard will see updated standings immediately.

Athlete Sign-Off (Electronic Signature)

After a judge submits a score, the athlete receives a prompt in their member app to review and sign off on the result:

  • The athlete sees the submitted score on their screen.
  • They are presented with a signature field — a freehand squiggle input.
  • The athlete draws their signature directly on-screen using their finger or stylus.
  • Tapping Confirm & Sign locks the score and records the signature against the result.

This electronic signature acts as the athlete's acknowledgement that the judged score is accurate, creating a clear and auditable record within the platform.

Notes

  • Score sign-off signatures are stored against the result record for dispute resolution.
  • The leaderboard updates as soon as a judge submits — signature sign-off does not block leaderboard display.
  • The judging interface is only available during an active throwdown event window.
