AI WOD Generator
AI WOD Generator
The AI WOD Generator lets coaches describe a training stimulus in plain language and receive a complete, ready-to-publish Workout of the Day (WOD) draft in seconds. It is designed to reduce programming time while preserving the coach's voice and intent.
Overview
Instead of building a session from scratch, a coach writes a short description of what they want to achieve — the energy system, movement patterns, loading intent, or any other training goal — and the AI produces a structured WOD that can be reviewed and published directly into the session builder.
What the AI Generates
Each AI-drafted WOD includes the following components:
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| Movement selection | Exercises chosen to match the described stimulus and movement intent |
| Rep scheme | Sets, reps, rounds, or intervals structured around the workout format |
| Time domain | Suggested duration or time cap aligned with the training goal |
| Scaling tiers | Multiple difficulty levels (e.g. Rx, Scaled, Beginner) to accommodate all athletes |
| Coach notes | Session-specific cueing, context, and guidance for delivery |
How to Use It
- Open the Session Builder — Navigate to the session you want to programme.
- Invoke the AI WOD Generator — Select the AI drafting option within the session builder.
- Describe your stimulus — Enter a plain-language description of the training intent. Examples:
- "A short, high-intensity aerobic piece with upper body pulling and a monostructural element, capped at 12 minutes"
- "A heavy lower-body strength session focused on posterior chain, followed by a short metcon"
- "A beginner-friendly full-body workout using only bodyweight movements"
- Review the draft — The AI returns a complete WOD with all components populated. Review each section and make any edits.
- Publish — When satisfied, publish the WOD directly into the session builder.
Tips for Better Results
- Be specific about intent. Mentioning the energy system (aerobic, anaerobic, mixed), time domain, or loading style gives the AI more context to work with.
- Specify constraints when needed. If your gym has limited equipment or you want to avoid certain movements, include that in the description.
- Use the scaling tiers as a starting point. The AI generates sensible defaults, but coaches should review scaling options against the specific needs of their athlete cohort.
- Coach notes are editable. The generated notes reflect the AI's interpretation of the session — personalise them to match your coaching style before publishing.
Publishing to the Session Builder
Once a draft is reviewed and approved, it publishes directly into the session builder. All components — movements, rep schemes, time domains, scaling tiers, and coach notes — are transferred as structured, editable fields. No copy-pasting is required.
Availability
The AI WOD Generator is available to all coach and admin roles within the platform.
