Filter Order Improvement — Current Tax Year First
Filter Order Improvement — Current Tax Year First
Version: v1.0.299
Overview
The tax year filters on the Quarterly Summary page and the Tax Year View are now ordered to surface the most relevant period by default.
What Changed
Previously, tax year filter options were not guaranteed to appear in a helpful order. As of v1.0.299:
- The current tax year always appears first in the filter list.
- Previous tax years follow in descending order (most recent first).
This applies to two pages:
| Page | Filter updated |
|---|---|
| Quarterly Summary | ✅ Current tax year shown first |
| Tax Year View | ✅ Current tax year shown first |
Why This Matters
Most landlords and self-employed taxpayers are working on their current obligations — quarterly submissions due now or upcoming. By placing the current tax year at the top of the filter, you reach the right period in one click rather than scanning through a list of historical years.
How to Use
- Navigate to Quarterly Summary or Tax Year View.
- Open the tax year filter dropdown.
- The current tax year (e.g. 2024–25) will be pre-selected and listed first.
- Scroll down within the filter to access previous tax years if you need to review or amend historical submissions.
