Introducing Digital Signature Collection — v0.1.32

We've shipped one of our most-requested capabilities: legally-valid digital signatures, built directly into the platform.

Starting with v0.1.32, tenants, landlords, and agents can sign check-in reports, deduction schedules, and dispute settlement agreements without printing a single page or leaving the platform to use a third-party signing tool.

What's New

Sign from Any Device

Signatories can choose how they sign:

  • Draw their signature with a mouse, trackpad, or finger on a touch screen.
  • Type their name and have it rendered as a signature — no specialist hardware needed.

Both modes work across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

A Built-in Audit Trail

Every signature is automatically paired with the signatory's IP address and a precise timestamp. This metadata travels with the document — whether it's viewed online or exported — giving all parties a tamper-evident record that holds up if a dispute escalates.

Three Document Types Supported at Launch

  • Check-in reports — Get the property condition signed off by both parties at the start of a tenancy.
  • Deduction schedules — Formally agree on end-of-tenancy charges before they become disputes.
  • Dispute settlement agreements — Reach and record a binding resolution quickly, in one place.

Why It Matters

The biggest source of friction in deposit disputes is paper. Chasing wet signatures, scanning documents, and reconciling unsigned versions delays outcomes by days or weeks. With digital signatures embedded in the workflow:

  • Agreements are reached and recorded in the same session as the negotiation.
  • Every party has an identical, timestamped copy of what was agreed.
  • There's no ambiguity about who signed what, or when.

This is a direct step toward our mission: fair, fast, and stress-free tenancy endings.
