Live Competition Scoring & Real-Time Leaderboard

Live Competition Scoring & Real-Time Leaderboard

Available from: v1.0.13

Throwdown competitions now support live judge scoring with a real-time public leaderboard — purpose-built for in-gym events, displayed on screens, and permanently recorded on every athlete's Performance Passport.

Overview

When running a Throwdown, gym owners and coaches need a frictionless way to capture scores on the floor and display live standings to everyone in the room. In v1.0.13, judges enter results directly in the app, and the leaderboard updates instantly — no spreadsheets, no manual refreshes, no delay.

Key Features

Judge Score Entry

Designated judges can enter scores for each athlete or team during a live Throwdown event through the app.

  • Score entry is available to users with the Judge role assigned to a competition.
  • Scores can be entered and, if necessary, corrected in real time before the event concludes.
  • The system handles multiple simultaneous judge inputs without conflict.

Real-Time Leaderboard

Every Throwdown automatically generates a shareable public URL for its leaderboard.

  • The leaderboard page requires no login to view, making it accessible to spectators, athletes waiting for their heat, and remote followers.
  • Standings recalculate and display instantly as each score is submitted.
  • The layout is optimised for TV and projector display — large text, high contrast, and a clean full-screen format designed to be readable across a room.
  • Share the URL via the competition management screen; it remains active for the duration of the event and beyond.

Competition History on the Performance Passport

All Throwdown results are permanently stored and linked to each athlete's Performance Passport.

  • Athletes can view their complete competition history — placements, scores, and dates — in one place.
  • Competition records sit alongside training data, benchmark results, and progress history for a full picture of an athlete's journey.
  • Historical data is retained indefinitely and accessible to both the athlete and their coach.

How It Works

  1. Create a Throwdown from the Events section and assign judges to the competition.
  2. Share the leaderboard URL with athletes and spectators before or during the event — display it on a TV or projector at the venue.
  3. Judges enter scores through the app as heats complete. Standings update on the leaderboard in real time.
  4. Results are saved automatically to each participant's Performance Passport when the competition concludes.

Notes

  • The public leaderboard URL is specific to each Throwdown event and does not expose any other member data.
  • Judges must be assigned to a competition before they can submit scores.
  • Score corrections are permitted while the event is marked as active. Once a competition is closed by an admin, the results are locked to the Performance Passport.
