Property Detail & Timeline View

Property Detail & Timeline View

As of v0.1.69, property cards are fully navigable. Clicking any property card in the Properties list opens a dedicated detail view that consolidates everything linked to that property — tenancies, reports, compliance status, and deduction history — in one place.

Accessing the Detail View

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → Properties.
  2. Click any property card in the list.
  3. The property detail view opens at /dashboard/properties/[id].

The detail view follows the same slide-over panel pattern used by the Tenant Drawer, so it feels consistent with the rest of the platform.

What's Shown

Property Summary

The header of the detail view displays the full address, property type, and room configuration.

Active & Historical Tenancies

A chronological list of all tenancies associated with the property — both current and past. Each tenancy row links directly to the tenancy's own timeline view.

Linked Check-in / Check-out Reports

Any check-in or check-out reports tied to tenancies at this property are listed here. Clicking a report navigates directly to the report builder.

Compliance Status

A summary of the property's current compliance standing under the Renters' Rights Act, surfaced without requiring a separate compliance check workflow.

Deduction History

All deposit deductions recorded across tenancies at this property, with links to the deduction builder for any item that requires further action.

Editing Property Details

An Edit property button is available at the top of the detail view. Use it to update:

  • Address fields
  • Property type
  • Room configuration

This is the same data previously only editable via the modal on the main Properties list.

Before This Release

Prior to v0.1.69, property cards were display-only. To find all tenancies for a specific property, agents had to navigate to the Tenancies page and manually filter by address. The detail view removes this friction by making the property the central hub for all associated records.
