Import History List
Import History List
The Import History List gives organization admins a centralized view of all Teachable import jobs — both past and currently running — so you can track migration activity, confirm successful imports, and investigate failures.
Overview
Every time an import job is triggered for your organization, a record is created in the import history. The list is paginated, so organizations with a large number of imports can navigate through them without performance degradation.
Accessing the Import History
The Import History List is accessible from the Admin area of your organization's dashboard. No additional permissions beyond standard admin access are required.
What the List Shows
Each row in the import history represents a single import job and displays the following information:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Source School URL | The URL of the Teachable school from which the content was imported |
| Import Date | The date and time the import job was initiated |
| Status | The current or final state of the job |
| Courses Imported | The number of courses successfully imported into the platform |
Job Statuses
Import jobs can appear in the following states:
- Pending — The job has been queued and is waiting to start.
- In Progress — The import engine is actively scraping and reconstructing content.
- Completed — The job finished successfully; all detected courses have been imported.
- Failed — The job encountered an error and did not complete successfully.
Investigating Failed Imports
For any job with a Failed status, the import history list provides access to error details directly inline. Use this information to understand what went wrong — for example, authentication issues with the source school, unreachable content, or structural changes in the Teachable course layout — before retrying the import.
Notes
- The import history is scoped to your organization. Admins cannot view import records belonging to other organizations.
- History records are retained for audit and troubleshooting purposes and are not automatically purged.
