Import Job Progress Monitor
Import Job Progress Monitor
The Import Job Progress Monitor gives administrators real-time visibility into an active Teachable content import, directly from the admin dashboard. Long-running imports no longer require manual polling or leaving the page to check status.
Overview
When a Teachable import job is running, the progress monitor automatically surfaces key metrics and status information in the admin UI. All data updates in real time without requiring a page refresh.
What the Monitor Shows
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Current Pipeline Stage | The import step that is actively executing (e.g. fetching course structure, extracting lesson pages, migrating assets). |
| Assets Migrated | A running count of assets — including videos, images, documents, and text content — that have been successfully transferred so far. |
| Errors Encountered | A live count of errors logged during the current import run. |
| Estimated Completion | A progress indicator that reflects how much of the overall job has been completed. |
How to Use It
- Navigate to the Admin area of the platform.
- Start or open an active import job from the Teachable import section.
- The progress monitor panel will appear automatically while the job is running.
- Monitor the pipeline stage, asset count, and error count in real time.
- Once the job completes (or fails), the monitor reflects the final state.
Notes
- The progress monitor is only visible while an import job is actively running. It is not a historical log viewer.
- Errors shown in the monitor are a count only — detailed error information is available in the import job log after the run completes.
- No action is required to start the monitor; it activates automatically when an import is in progress.
