Your AI Agent is Now on Discord — Sidekick v1.0.12
Your AI Agent is Now on Discord — Sidekick v1.0.12
Sidekick v1.0.12 ships the Discord Bot Integration Adapter, bringing your AI agent into your Discord servers with full support for channel monitoring, slash commands, reactions, and threaded conversations.
What's Shipping
Discord is a significant addition to Sidekick's integration surface. Whether you're running a community server, a dev team workspace, or a private group, your agent can now:
- Monitor channels for messages, mentions, and keywords — and act on them automatically.
- Handle slash commands so teammates can trigger agent workflows directly from the Discord UI.
- React and reply in threads as part of multi-step automations.
Built on the Unified Adapter Architecture
Like every integration on Sidekick, Discord is implemented as a unified adapter. Gateway events from Discord's API are normalised into UnifiedEvents before they ever reach the agent loop. This means:
- Your existing rules and skills work on Discord the same way they work on Slack, email, or GitHub — no reconfiguration needed.
- OpenClaw community skills from ClawHub that target Discord work on Sidekick out of the box.
- Scaling to additional Discord servers or channels requires no additional engineering.
Getting Started
Head to the Integrations panel in your dashboard, find Discord, and follow the OAuth flow to invite the Sidekick bot to your server. Once connected, channel events start flowing into your agent immediately.
See the Discord Bot Integration page for full setup details and a permissions reference.
