Navigating Large Portfolios: Map View & Postcode-Area Grouping
Navigating Large Portfolios: Map View & Postcode-Area Grouping
Released in v0.1.212
Managing a large portfolio of properties just got easier. The properties list now includes a Map view and a "Group by postcode area" sort option — two features designed specifically for agents handling 50 or more properties.
Map View
The properties list ViewToggle now has three modes: Grid, List, and Map.
Desktop & Tablet
On medium and large screens, selecting Map switches to a two-panel layout:
| Panel | Content |
|---|---|
| Left | Scrollable property list |
| Right | Interactive map with a pin for every property |
Interacting with pins:
- Hover a pin → property address tooltip appears.
- Click a pin → navigates to that property's detail page.
Mobile
On small screens the list view is shown by default (optimised for touch browsing). A Map button is available that opens the map as a full-screen sheet, avoiding the cramped two-panel layout on narrow viewports.
Group by Postcode Area
Inside the Sort dropdown on the properties list, a new option — "Group by postcode area" — clusters properties by the first segment of their postcode (the outward code, e.g. SW1, M60, EH1).
When this option is active:
- Properties are divided into labelled sections, one per postcode prefix.
- Sections are ordered alphabetically by prefix.
- All existing pagination and filter controls continue to work as normal within each group.
This is particularly useful when a portfolio spans multiple cities or boroughs and you need a quick regional breakdown without running a separate search.
How to Use
- Open the Properties section from the dashboard sidebar.
- Use the view toggle (top-right of the list) to switch between Grid, List, and Map.
- To group by area, open the Sort dropdown and select "Group by postcode area".
Notes
- Map view requires properties to have a valid postcode stored against them so that coordinates can be resolved.
- The map panel is hidden on mobile to preserve usability; use the full-screen sheet instead.
- Grid view continues to paginate at 24 items per page by default; grouping by postcode area does not change this limit per group.
