Branches Moves to Portfolio Navigation

Branches Moves to Portfolio Navigation

Version: v0.1.135

Overview

The Branches section has moved out of the Settings page and into the Portfolio navigation group, where it belongs alongside Properties and other operational resources.

What's New

Branches is now a top-level Portfolio item

Previously, Branches was accessible as a tab within Settings → Branches. It is now a dedicated, top-level item in the Portfolio navigation group — at the same level as Properties.

└── Branches ← previously a tab inside Settings

Manage Branches link in Organization settings

If you navigate to Settings → Organization, you'll find a Manage Branches → link card that takes you directly to /dashboard/branches. This keeps a clear pointer to branch management for users who are already in Settings, without duplicating the full UI there.

Properties & Branches renamed to Properties

The combined Properties & Branches nav label has been simplified to Properties, reflecting that Branches now has its own dedicated entry.

Why This Change Was Made

The Settings page is intended for personal and account-level preferences — things like your profile, your organisation's details, appearance, reminders, and account danger-zone actions.

Branches, by contrast, is operational data: it's where physical offices are defined, agents are assigned, and properties are grouped. Keeping it in Settings created a misleading mental model and made it harder to discover for users thinking about their portfolio structure.

By surfacing Branches as a first-class Portfolio item, the navigation now reflects how the platform is actually used:

How to Find Your Branches

  1. In the left-hand navigation, expand or click Portfolio.
  2. Select Branches.
  3. You are taken directly to /dashboard/branches.

Alternatively, go to Settings → Organization and click the Manage Branches → card.
