Introducing Usage-Based Billing for Enterprise — Pay Only for What You Use

Sidekick v1.0.77

We built Sidekick to handle the full volume of your digital life — not a capped slice of it. That philosophy now extends to how Enterprise accounts are billed. Starting today, Sidekick's Enterprise tier supports usage-based billing powered by Stripe, so your costs scale proportionally with the value you get, rather than forcing you into arbitrary fixed tiers.

The problem with fixed quotas at scale

High-volume teams don't use AI assistants uniformly. A product launch week looks nothing like a quiet Friday in August. Under a fixed-quota model, you either over-provision (paying for headroom you rarely need) or hit a wall at the worst possible moment. Neither option is acceptable for teams running mission-critical automation.

How usage-based billing works

Every Enterprise plan includes a base action allocation — a monthly quota of autonomous operations (messages sent, emails triaged, calendar events managed, skills executed, and so on) included at no extra charge. Beyond that baseline:

  • Additional actions are metered automatically — no manual intervention needed.
  • Overages are billed per 1,000 actions at a transparent flat rate.
  • Everything rolls up into a single monthly Stripe invoice with full line-item detail.

Sidekick keeps running at full capacity regardless of where you are in your quota. The billing adapts; your workflow doesn't.

No billing surprises

We know that "you'll just be charged more" isn't a reassuring answer on its own. That's why we've paired usage-based billing with real-time cost tracking built directly into the dashboard. At any point in the month you can see:

  • How many actions you've consumed
  • How many remain in your base allocation
  • Your current metered overage count
  • A live estimate of your projected monthly bill

Full action-level breakdowns are available for audit so your finance team can see exactly what drove costs in any period.

Availability

Usage-based billing is live today for all Enterprise tier accounts. Starter and Pro plans are unchanged.
