Upcoming Collections Schedule
Upcoming Collections Schedule
The Upcoming Collections Schedule gives letting agents a clear, forward-looking view of all Direct Debit collections due across their managed mandates. It is available at /dashboard/collections/upcoming.
Overview
Rather than reacting to failed or missed collections after the fact, agents can use the schedule to plan ahead — seeing exactly what is due over the coming days or weeks, spotting potential issues early, and taking action where needed.
What the Schedule Shows
Each entry in the schedule represents one active mandate and includes:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Tenant Name | The name of the tenant associated with the mandate |
| Property Reference | The property or tenancy reference linked to the mandate |
| Amount | The collection amount due |
| Next Collection Date | The next BACS working day on which the collection will be submitted |
Date Grouping
Collections are grouped by their next scheduled date so agents can quickly see everything due on a given day. For example:
Monday 14 July 2025
- John Smith · 12 High Street · £1,200.00
- Sarah Jones · 4 Maple Avenue · £950.00
Tuesday 15 July 2025
- David Brown · Unit 3, Park Road · £750.00
BACS Working Day Logic
Next collection dates are calculated using the service's BACS working day engine. This means:
- Weekends are excluded — collections never fall on a Saturday or Sunday.
- UK bank holidays are excluded — the engine accounts for the full UK bank holiday calendar.
- BACS cycle rules apply — dates reflect actual BACS processing windows, consistent with the dates shown to tenants during mandate setup.
This ensures the dates displayed in the schedule match what will actually be submitted to Modulr.
Sorting and Filtering
The schedule is sortable and filterable to help agents focus on what matters:
- Filter by date range — view the week ahead, the month ahead, or a custom window.
- Filter by amount, tenant, or property — narrow down to a specific mandate or subset.
- Sort — reorder by date, amount, tenant name, or property reference.
Identifying Potential Issues
The schedule surfaces mandates that may need attention before a collection runs, for example:
- Mandates approaching expiry — mandates that are due to expire before their next collection date are flagged so the agent can follow up with the tenant.
- Scheduling anomalies — any mandate whose next collection date cannot be calculated (e.g. due to an incomplete mandate configuration) will appear as a warning.
Addressing these proactively reduces the chance of a failed collection.
Early Collection Trigger
Where Modulr supports it, agents can manually trigger an early collection request for a mandate directly from the schedule view. This is useful when a tenant has requested early payment or when an agent wants to initiate collection ahead of the standard BACS schedule.
Note: Early collection availability depends on Modulr's support for the specific mandate and collection type. The option will only be presented when it is available.
Access
The Upcoming Collections Schedule is accessible at:

Access is scoped per customer — agents will only see mandates belonging to their own account.
