Build Better Sessions Faster: Introducing the Drag-and-Drop Session Builder

Coaches can now author complete training sessions entirely within the browser using the new Session Builder — a purpose-built tool in the coach console that brings drag-and-drop ordering, a movement library, load calculation, interval configuration, and video attachment into a single authoring experience.


Why We Built This

Programming sessions used to mean working outside the platform — spreadsheets, notes apps, or disconnected tools — then manually translating that work into the schedule. The Session Builder closes that gap. Everything a coach needs to design, configure, and publish a session is now in one place.


What's in the Session Builder

Drag-and-Drop Component Ordering

Sessions are composed of blocks — warm-up, strength, conditioning, accessory, cool-down, or any custom component you define. Drag them into the right sequence and drop them in place. There's no save step between reorders; the layout updates immediately.

Movement Search

The Session Builder is connected to the platform's full movement library. Search by name, category (e.g. barbell, gymnastics, monostructural), or equipment to add movements to any component. Movements carry their existing scaling tiers and cues, so you don't have to re-enter that information.

Load Calculator

For any loaded movement, set target loads as a percentage of a one-rep max or by RPE. The load calculator displays the resulting weight so coaches can sanity-check prescriptions before publishing.

Interval Builder

Configure time-based session structures without leaving the builder:

  • AMRAP — Set total work duration.
  • EMOM — Define interval length and total rounds.
  • Work/Rest — Set work and rest periods for any number of rounds.
  • For Time — Cap or uncap the effort with an optional time limit.

Video Attachment

Attach demonstration or coaching videos to individual movements or entire session components. Attached videos surface to members in the daily training view alongside the session prescription.


Publishing Your Session

Once a session is ready, coaches have two publishing options:

Save to the 12-Week Schedule Place the session on any date in the active 12-week programming calendar. It immediately becomes visible to members assigned to that track on the scheduled date.

Save as a Template Store the session in the template library for future reuse. Templates can be inserted into any schedule slot or used as the starting point for a new session, preserving all components, movements, loads, intervals, and attached videos.


Where to Find It

The Session Builder is available in the Coach Console under the Programming section. Select any date on the 12-week calendar and choose Create Session, or navigate to Templates → New Template to start a reusable session.
