Introducing Preferred Channel Routing
With v1.0.50, you can set a preferred communication channel and have all agent messages, responses, and proactive alerts delivered there automatically. Whether you live in Slack, check WhatsApp on the go, prefer email digests, or just want everything in the browser — Sidekick follows you.
Choose from five channels:
- Browser Chat — the Sidekick dashboard, always there when you're at your desk
- Telegram — fast, lightweight, great for mobile notifications
- Slack — integrates into your existing team workspace
- WhatsApp — the messaging app already on your phone
- Email — async, detailed, works everywhere
Start Here, Continue There
The real power of Preferred Channel Routing is continuity. Say you kick off a task with your agent in the browser at work. On your commute home, you want to check in — just open Telegram and the conversation is right there. No copy-pasting, no starting over, no lost context.
Switching channels is instant. Go to Settings → Communication, pick your new channel, and Sidekick catches up automatically.
Getting Started
- Head to Settings → Communication in your Sidekick dashboard.
- Select your preferred channel.
- Connect the account if needed (Telegram, Slack, and WhatsApp require a quick one-time auth).
- Save — that's it.
From that point on, your agent knows where to find you.
