Work Queue Now Shows Tenant Names on Tenancy Cards
Work Queue Now Shows Tenant Names on Tenancy Cards
Version: v0.1.145
Overview
The Work Queue's Tenancy cards now display the tenant name inline, directly below the property address. This makes it faster and easier to identify individual tenancies at a glance — without needing to click through to each record.
What you'll see
Each Tenancy card in the Work Queue now shows a two-line identity block:
42 Maple Street, Flat 3
James Wilson · ends 15 Jan 2025
The second line combines the tenant's full name with the tenancy end date, separated by a mid-dot (·).
Which cards are affected
This change applies to every Tenancy card group in the Work Queue:
| Card group | Previously showed | Now also shows |
|---|---|---|
| Overdue check-outs | Address, end date, deposit | Tenant name |
| Open disputes | Address, end date, deposit | Tenant name |
| Upcoming check-outs | Address, end date, deposit | Tenant name |
| Awaiting check-in | Address, end date, deposit | Tenant name |
Who benefits
This improvement is especially useful for:
- HMO agents and landlords managing multiple rooms or units at a single address
- Multi-let block managers where several tenancies share the same property address
- Anyone triaging a busy Work Queue who needs to route or prioritise tasks by tenant without extra clicks
Background
Before this release, the TenancyCard component rendered the property address, tenancy end date, and deposit amount — but did not surface the tenantName field that was already present in the underlying TenancyRow data type. This meant agents had to open each card individually to confirm which tenant it related to, adding unnecessary friction when managing portfolios with shared addresses.
