Score Movement Alerts
Score Movement Alerts
Introduced in v0.1.48, Score Movement Alerts let you track how a product's composite opportunity score shifts between crawl runs, so you can act on emerging opportunities or catch products that are losing signal before they waste your time.
How It Works
Each time the system completes a crawl and re-scores a product, it compares the new composite score against the score recorded during the previous analysis run. If the difference exceeds the 1.5-point threshold (in either direction), the movement is recorded and surfaced in the UI.
Movement Threshold
| Change magnitude | Indicator shown |
|---|---|
| > +1.5 points | ▲ (score increased) |
| > −1.5 points | ▼ (score decreased) |
| ≤ 1.5 points either way | No indicator |
The 1.5-point threshold is fixed — it filters out minor score noise caused by small fluctuations in review volume or pricing signals between runs.
Dashboard Indicators
On the main ranked product dashboard, each row now includes a directional indicator immediately adjacent to the composite opportunity score:
- ▲ signals the product has meaningfully improved since the last crawl — new positive reviews, a pricing change, or a shift in competitive positioning may be driving this.
- ▼ signals the product has deteriorated — worth investigating whether negative review volume has increased or a competitor has closed a gap.
The indicator reflects movement since the most recent prior analysis only — it is not a rolling or cumulative trend.
In-App Notifications for Shortlisted Products
For products you have shortlisted, you can opt in to receive an in-app notification when the score drops significantly.
Enabling Notifications
- Open any product dossier.
- Shortlist the product if you have not already done so.
- Toggle "Notify me on score drop" in the product's shortlist settings.
Notification Behaviour
- Notifications are delivered in-app only — no email or external webhook is triggered.
- A notification fires when the product's score moves downward past the 1.5-point threshold on the next crawl.
- Notifications are per-product and per-user — each team member manages their own alert preferences independently.
Notes
- Score movement indicators appear only after a product has been analysed at least twice — there is no baseline for first-run products.
- The indicator resets each run; it always reflects the delta between the two most recent analysis snapshots, not historical highs or lows.
- The in-app notification feature is opt-in — no alerts fire by default, even for shortlisted products.
