Faster Tenancy Navigation: The New Quick-Access Strip
Faster Tenancy Navigation: The New Quick-Access Strip
Version: 0.1.142
If you manage a large portfolio, you know the friction: open the dashboard, hit ⌘K (or scroll down to the tenancies list), type the address, click through. Repeat dozens of times a day. With v0.1.142, that workflow gets meaningfully faster.
The Recent Tenancies Strip
A new horizontal strip now appears on the dashboard, sitting between the page header and your KPI cards. It shows your 5 most recently visited tenancies as clickable pills — no typing, no palette, no extra navigation step.
What Each Pill Shows
| Element | Detail |
|---|---|
| Address | Full property address |
| Status badge | Current tenancy status (e.g. Active, Check-Out Pending, In Dispute) |
| Deposit amount | The deposit held for that tenancy |
Click any pill and you land directly on that tenancy's detail page.
How It Works
The strip is powered by the same localStorage ring buffer already used by the command palette (⌘K). Every tenancy you visit is automatically recorded; the strip always reflects your 5 most recent. There is nothing to configure — it populates itself from the moment you start using the dashboard.
Using the Command Palette Alongside the Strip
The ⌘K command palette remains available for searching across your entire portfolio. Think of the two tools as complementary:
- Recent Tenancies strip — instant one-click access to the tenancies you've touched today or this week
- Command palette (⌘K) — full-text search when you need a tenancy that isn't in your recent history
Availability
The Recent Tenancies strip is available to all users on v0.1.142 and above. It appears automatically on the main dashboard (/dashboard) once you have visited at least one tenancy.
