What's New: See Your Tenancy Progress at a Glance
Release: v0.1.184
We've added a visual workflow progress bar to the top of every tenancy detail page — so you always know exactly where a tenancy stands, the moment you open it.
The Problem It Solves
The tenancy detail page is the central hub for everything related to a tenancy's lifecycle. But until now, understanding overall status meant scrolling down through the timeline or reading contextual banners spread across the page. There was no single, clear summary of progress.
On the dashboard, WorkQueue cards already showed a compact progress indicator — but that same clarity was missing once you clicked into a tenancy.
What's Changed
A horizontal 3-step progress strip now appears at the very top of every tenancy detail page, above all other content.
[ ✓ Check-in ] → [ ● Check-out ] → [ ○ Deposit Release ]
(green) (amber) (muted)
The three steps map directly to the core tenancy workflow:
- Check-in — the inbound property inspection at the start of the tenancy
- Check-out — the outbound property inspection at the end of the tenancy
- Deposit Release — the resolution of any deductions and disbursement of deposit funds
Colour Coding
| State | Colour | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Completed | Green | This stage is fully done |
| In Progress | Amber | This stage is active or awaiting action |
| Not Started | Muted | This stage hasn't begun yet |
Clickable Navigation
Every step is interactive. Clicking a step takes you directly to the relevant report or section for that stage — for example, clicking Check-out navigates straight to the check-out report. No more hunting through the page.
Consistency Across the Product
This update reuses the WorkflowSteps component that already powers progress indicators on WorkQueue dashboard cards. The same colour language and step structure now appear consistently whether you're looking at a summary card on the dashboard or the full tenancy detail page.
Who Benefits
- Landlords can instantly see whether a check-out has been completed or whether deposit release is still pending.
- Letting agents managing multiple tenancies can orient themselves immediately when switching between tenancy pages.
- Tenants viewing their tenancy can understand at a glance what has happened and what comes next.
This feature is live in v0.1.184 and requires no configuration changes.
