Quick Actions: Contextual Menu on Work Queue Cards

Quick Actions: Contextual Menu on Work Queue Cards

Available from: v0.1.68

The work queue dashboard now includes a Quick Actions menu (⋯) on every card. It gives agents fast access to the most common follow-up tasks for each work item — without navigating away from the queue.

Overview

Each work queue card has two interactive elements:

ElementPurpose
Primary CTA (Start report, Prepare, Fix)The main recommended action for that card
⋯ Kebab menuSecondary quick actions relevant to the card's context

The kebab menu options change depending on the card type.

Quick Actions by Card Type

Upcoming Check-Outs

ActionWhat it does
View tenancyOpens the full tenancy timeline for this property
Send tenant reminderDispatches a pre-configured reminder notification to the tenant
Create check-out reportNavigates directly to the new check-out report form for this tenancy

Compliance Alerts

ActionWhat it does
View complianceOpens the compliance detail view for the flagged item
Mark acknowledgedLogs the alert as acknowledged without leaving the queue
View tenancyOpens the tenancy associated with this compliance alert

How to use it

  1. Open the Work Queue from your dashboard.
  2. Locate the card you want to act on.
  3. Click the icon on the right side of the card.
  4. Select the action from the dropdown.

The primary CTA button remains unchanged — the kebab menu is purely additive.

Impact on workflow

Before this change, a standard pre-checkout workflow required navigating to three or four separate pages. The Quick Actions menu reduces that to one or two steps from the work queue itself.

Before: Work Queue → Tenancy page → Back → Compose reminder → Back → Report form
After: Work Queue → ⋯ → [action]

Notes

  • Quick actions are context-sensitive — only actions relevant to the card type are shown.
  • "Send tenant reminder" uses your existing notification templates. No additional configuration is required.
  • "Mark acknowledged" on a compliance alert does not resolve or dismiss the underlying compliance item; it only logs that it has been seen.
