GDPR Compliance: Data Export & Deletion

As of v1.0.75, Sidekick is fully GDPR-compliant. You have the right to export all your data in machine-readable format and to request complete, permanent account deletion. Data retention policies give you — or your workspace administrator — control over how long agent decisions and memory are retained.

Exporting Your Data

You can request a full export of all data Sidekick holds about you at any time.

What is included in the export?

  • Agent decisions and action logs
  • Memory entries created by the AI on your behalf
  • Connected integration metadata (account identifiers, not credentials)
  • Conversation history
  • Account settings and preferences

How to export

  1. Go to Settings → Privacy & Data.
  2. Click Request Data Export.
  3. Sidekick will prepare your export and notify you when it is ready to download.
  4. Download the archive — data is provided in JSON format for machine readability.

Note: Depending on the volume of data, export preparation may take a few minutes.

Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time.

What is deleted?

  • User profile and authentication credentials
  • All agent decisions and action logs
  • All AI memory entries
  • Connected integration tokens and authorisation records
  • Conversation history
  • Billing records (subject to applicable legal retention requirements)

How to delete your account

  1. Go to Settings → Privacy & Data.
  2. Click Delete My Account.
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
  4. Your data will be permanently and irreversibly purged.

⚠️ This action is irreversible. Once confirmed, your data cannot be recovered.

Data Retention Policies

Sidekick can automatically purge old agent decisions and memory entries based on configurable retention periods.

Configuring retention

  1. Go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Retention Policies.
  2. Set the retention period for:
    • Agent decisions — how long individual AI action records are kept.
    • Memory entries — how long contextual memory built by the AI is retained.
  3. Save your settings. Data older than the configured threshold will be automatically purged on a rolling schedule.

Default behaviour

Retention policies are not enabled by default. Data is retained until you configure a policy or submit a deletion request.
