See Your Deposit Pipeline at a Glance — Introducing the Board View
Release v0.1.71 · UI/UX
Deposit releases don't happen in an instant — they move through a workflow. A release starts as a Draft, gets sent to the tenant as a Proposal, the tenant Acknowledges the deductions, and finally the deposit is Released. That journey can take days, and across a portfolio it's easy for individual cases to stall quietly in the background.
Until now, the Deposit Release dashboard showed all of this as a flat, chronological list. Useful — but not actionable at a glance.
What's Changed
With v0.1.71 we've added a Board view to the Deposit Release dashboard. Flip the new List / Board toggle and your releases reorganise into four columns matching the natural stages of the workflow:
- Draft — started, not yet sent
- Proposed — sent to the tenant, awaiting their response
- Acknowledged — tenant has agreed to the deductions
- Released — complete
Each card in the board shows the property address, the total deposit, what the tenant receives back, and the total deductions — everything you need to understand a release without clicking into it. When you do want the detail, each card links straight through to the full tenancy.
Why a Kanban Board?
The summary stat cards at the top of the Deposit Releases page already told you how many releases were in each stage. The Board view extends that insight down into the list itself — you can now see which releases are where, and act on them directly.
Spot a cluster of cases sitting in Proposed for too long? That's a tenant follow-up queue. Several releases stuck in Acknowledged? Time to finalise and release the funds. The pipeline view makes these patterns visible without any extra filtering or sorting.
Nothing Is Removed
The List view remains the default. If you're managing a large portfolio where density matters more than pipeline visibility, nothing changes for you unless you choose to toggle. The Board view is purely additive.
How to Try It
- Go to Dashboard → Deposit Releases
- Click the Board option in the List / Board toggle
- Review your pipeline across the four columns
- Click any card to open the full tenancy
That's it — no configuration required.
This feature is available now in the Deposit Release dashboard as part of the v0.1.71 release.
