Introducing the Executive Dashboard and KPIs — v1.0.59

Introducing the Executive Dashboard and KPIs

Version 1.0.59 · Released 2025-07-14

With v1.0.59, we're introducing the Executive Dashboard — a purpose-built leadership view that brings together key performance indicators from across HR, finance, and operations into a single, real-time interface.

The Problem It Solves

Leadership teams have historically had to context-switch between HR, finance, and operational tools to piece together an organisational health picture. Critical signals — an uptick in attrition, a budget variance, a backlog in approvals — could be siloed in separate modules, making it difficult to act quickly or spot cross-functional patterns.

The Executive Dashboard consolidates that signal into one place.

What's Included

Real-Time KPI Metrics

The dashboard surfaces live metrics across all three core domains:

DomainExample KPIs
HRHeadcount, attrition rate, open roles, time-to-hire
FinanceTotal spend, budget variance, invoice aging, cash flow
OperationsWorkflow completion rate, SLA compliance, pending approvals

Metrics update in real time, so the numbers on screen reflect the current state of the organisation — not last night's batch export.

Trend Analysis

Every KPI is displayed alongside its historical trend line, giving leaders the context they need to interpret a number correctly. A 4% attrition rate means something very different if it was 2% last quarter versus 6%.

Trend windows are configurable so you can compare week-over-week, month-over-month, or quarter-over-quarter at a glance.

Drill-Down Capabilities

The top-level dashboard is intentionally summary-focused — but when a number demands attention, you can drill down directly from any KPI card into the underlying data. Breakdowns are available by:

  • Department
  • Cost centre
  • Region
  • Time period

This lets a CFO spot a spend anomaly and immediately see which department or cost centre is driving it, without leaving the dashboard context.

Who Should Use It

The Executive Dashboard is designed for:

  • C-suite executives (CEO, CFO, CHRO, COO) who need a rapid pulse-check on the organisation.
  • VPs and senior directors responsible for cross-functional outcomes.
  • Board reporting — the dashboard provides a reliable, always-current source of truth for preparing leadership updates.

User access to the Executive Dashboard is controlled via the existing role-based access controls. Administrators can grant or restrict dashboard access from the standard permissions configuration.

Getting Started

  1. Navigate to Dashboard in the top-level navigation.
  2. Select Executive View from the dashboard picker.
  3. Use the domain tabs (HR / Finance / Operations) to focus on a specific area, or scroll for the unified overview.
  4. Click any KPI card to drill down into the supporting data.

This release lays the foundation for further executive-layer tooling. Subsequent releases will expand the range of available KPIs, introduce customisable dashboard layouts, and add AI-driven anomaly alerts surfaced directly in the dashboard view.
