The Member Spotlight feature gives coaches a structured way to publicly celebrate member progress. Coaches nominate a Member of the Month from the coach console, which automatically creates a featured post in the app feed and generates a shareable social card.
Overview
Recognising member achievements is a proven driver of gym retention and community engagement. The Spotlight tooling automates the ceremony around that recognition — from the nomination decision through to the public post and social sharing asset — so coaches spend no time on production work.
How It Works
1. Nominate a Member
- Open the Coach Console.
- Navigate to Community → Member Spotlight.
- Select the member you want to nominate and confirm the nomination.
Only one member can hold the active spotlight at a time. Submitting a new nomination replaces the current spotlight.
2. Featured Feed Post
Once a nomination is confirmed, the platform automatically publishes a featured spotlight post to the in-app feed. The post:
- Appears prominently at or near the top of the community feed for all members in the gym.
- Attributes the spotlight to the nominated member with their name and profile.
- Is visible to the entire gym's membership.
3. Shareable Social Card
Alongside the feed post, the platform generates a branded social card for the spotlight. The card:
- Is formatted for sharing on external social media platforms.
- Can be downloaded or shared directly by coaches and the nominated member.
- Carries the gym's branding, extending visibility beyond the platform.

Use Cases
- Monthly recognition programme — nominate a new member at the start of each month to maintain a regular cadence of community celebration.
- Milestone achievements — spotlight a member who has hit a personal record, completed a challenge, or reached a tenure milestone.
- New member integration — spotlight a newer member to help them feel embedded in the community and accelerate retention.
- Social media content — use the generated social card as ready-made content for the gym's Instagram, Facebook, or other channels.
Notes
- Spotlight posts are published immediately upon nomination confirmation — there is no scheduling or draft state in v1.0.20.
- The social card is generated automatically; no manual design work is required.
- Nominations are logged in the console so coaches can maintain a history of past spotlights.
