Push Notification System

The platform includes a unified push notification system that delivers real-time, context-aware alerts to members and coaches. Notifications span the full member lifecycle — from daily readiness check-ins to churn intervention — ensuring every stakeholder stays informed without needing to open the app.


Notification Types

Class Booking Confirmations

Sent immediately when a member successfully books a class.

  • Includes: class name, coach, date, and start time.
  • Delivery: instant, at point of booking.
  • Recipients: the booking member.

Missed Session Alerts

Triggered when a member does not check in to a session they were registered for.

  • Surfaces re-engagement messaging and links to the next available class.
  • Helps coaches identify athletes who may need follow-up.
  • Recipients: the member; optionally, the assigned coach.

Churn Intervention Prompts

Dispatched when the platform's churn-risk model determines a member is at elevated risk of lapsing.

  • Personalised messaging based on the member's activity history and engagement patterns.
  • Designed to prompt a return visit or a direct conversation with the gym.
  • Recipients: the at-risk member.
  • Triggered by: the AI churn-risk scoring pipeline.

Note for gym owners: Churn intervention notifications are generated automatically. You can review which members have been flagged via the Churn Risk dashboard.


Readiness Score Delivery

A daily push notification that delivers each member's AI-calculated readiness score.

  • Sent at a consistent daily time (configured per gym or per member preference).
  • Encourages members to consult their readiness data before choosing training intensity.
  • Recipients: all members with a connected health data source or manual readiness entry.

Habit Streak Reminders

Keeps members engaged with their training consistency goals.

  • Streak milestone alerts — notify members when they hit a new streak milestone (e.g. 7 days, 30 days).
  • Streak-at-risk alerts — sent when a member has not logged activity and is at risk of breaking their current streak.
  • Recipients: members with active habit tracking enabled.

Competition Scoring Updates

Real-time notifications during active competitions.

  • Sent when a member's score or leaderboard position changes.
  • Keeps competitors informed without requiring manual refreshes.
  • Recipients: registered competition participants and their coaches.

AI Coach Proactive Insights

The AI coach can push unsolicited, context-aware insights directly to members.

  • Examples include: recovery recommendations after a high-load week, programming adjustments based on readiness trends, and technique reminders before a key session.
  • Insights are generated proactively — members do not need to initiate a conversation.
  • Recipients: members with AI coaching enabled.

Notification Delivery

All push notifications are delivered via the platform's unified notification infrastructure. Device registration and permission management are handled automatically at member onboarding.

Prerequisites

  • Members must grant push notification permissions on their device.
  • Coaches must have the coaching app installed and permissions granted.
  • AI coach insights require the AI coaching feature to be active for the member's subscription tier.
