Introduced in v1.0.63, Automated Spend Optimization brings AI-driven analysis directly into the Financial Management module. The system continuously evaluates your organization's spending data and delivers proactive recommendations, alerts, and insights — without requiring manual analysis.
Overview
Rather than waiting for end-of-period reviews, the spend optimization engine works in the background to identify issues and opportunities as they emerge. Finance teams receive surfaced recommendations they can act on immediately, and stakeholders are notified automatically when spending behaviour changes.

Cost-Saving Opportunity Identification
The AI engine analyses spend across all connected data sources to detect:
- Duplicate or redundant vendor payments
- Spend categories running significantly over benchmark
- Underutilized subscriptions or contracted services
- Consolidation opportunities across similar vendor relationships
Each opportunity is ranked by estimated savings impact so teams can prioritize their efforts.
Vendor Performance Analysis
Vendor spend is evaluated against performance signals to highlight:
- Vendors where spend is increasing but delivered value is declining
- Contract terms that are no longer competitive
- Supplier relationships that are candidates for renegotiation or replacement
This gives procurement and finance teams a data-backed starting point for vendor reviews.
Budget Optimization Recommendations
The system compares actual spend patterns against approved budgets and generates prioritized recommendations to close gaps. Recommendations include:

Availability
Automated Spend Optimization is available to all tenants with the Financial Management module enabled. No additional configuration is required to enable the analysis engine — it activates automatically once spend data is connected.
