Beast Mode Is No Longer a Hidden Gem

Beast Mode Is No Longer a Hidden Gem

Release: v1.0.98 · Category: UI/UX · Navigation

The Problem

Beast Mode is one of the most powerful capabilities in the SaaS Factory platform. It runs 20-agent discovery supercycles — a coordinated swarm of AI agents that surfaces features, decomposes work, and drives autonomous development at scale. It includes loop controls and a live pipeline feed so you can watch the entire process unfold in real time.

Despite all of that, it was hidden.

Before v1.0.98, Beast Mode lived as a tab inside the Product Overview page. There was no sidebar entry, no breadcrumb, no command palette shortcut. If you hadn't read the documentation, you would never know it existed. The ProductSidebar had no reference to it. The account-level AccountSidebar — which covers Products, Teams, and Settings — had no reference to it either.

For a feature this consequential, that was an unacceptable discoverability gap.

What Changed in v1.0.98

Dedicated Sidebar Entry

Beast Mode now has a persistent entry in the Build section of the ProductSidebar, sitting between Overview and AI Dev Team. It is always visible when you are inside a product — no hunting through tabs required.

The entry uses a Flame icon to make it immediately recognizable at a glance.

Pulsing Active Indicator

When a Beast Mode run is in progress, the sidebar entry displays a pulsing indicator next to the label. This gives you ambient awareness of an active supercycle even when you're navigating other parts of the product — you never have to wonder whether a run is still going.

Command Palette Support

Beast Mode is now registered as a navigation command in the command palette. From anywhere in the platform, open the command palette and type "Beast Mode" to jump directly to it. No clicks, no tab hunting.

What Beast Mode Does

For users encountering this feature for the first time through the new sidebar entry, here's a quick orientation:

  • 20-agent supercycles: Beast Mode coordinates a large pool of specialized AI agents simultaneously — researchers, architects, engineers, and testers — all working in parallel on feature discovery and implementation.
  • Loop controls: You control how many cycles run, giving you a dial between a quick exploratory pass and an extended autonomous development session.
  • Live pipeline feed: Watch the agents work in real time. Every task, decision, and output surfaces in the feed as it happens.

How to Access Beast Mode

  1. Open any product in the SaaS Factory platform.
  2. In the left sidebar, find the Build section.
  3. Click Beast Mode (look for the Flame 🔥 icon).
  4. Alternatively, open the command palette (⌘K / Ctrl+K) and search for Beast Mode.

Summary

This release is a navigation and discoverability fix, not a change to Beast Mode's underlying capabilities. The feature itself is unchanged — it's just finally where it should have been from the start: front and center.
