Introducing Usage Analytics and Billing
Introducing Usage Analytics and Billing
Available from v1.0.69
With the v1.0.69 release, the platform now tracks detailed usage metrics and surfaces them directly inside the billing experience. This gives platform administrators, finance teams, and IT operations a transparent, auditable view of consumption and cost.
Overview
Usage Analytics and Billing covers three pillars:
| Pillar | What Is Tracked |
|---|---|
| API Calls | Volume of API requests per workspace, integration, and time period |
| Storage Usage | Data stored across HR records, documents, contracts, and attachments |
| Feature Utilization | Module-level activity across HR, Payroll, Finance, Spend, Contracts, and AI Agents |
Usage Metrics
API Call Tracking
Every API call is recorded with:
- Timestamp — when the call was made.
- Workspace attribution — which tenant or workspace originated the request.
- Endpoint category — the functional area the call belongs to (e.g. Payroll API, Contracts API).
This data feeds directly into billing calculations for API-tier pricing and can be exported for internal chargeback workflows.
Storage Usage Monitoring
Storage consumption is measured in real time across:
- Employee documents and attachments.
- Payroll run archives.
- Contract files and signed agreements.
- AI-generated reports and audit logs.
Storage totals are aggregated at the workspace level and refresh on a continuous basis.
Feature Utilization Reporting
The platform records active usage of each module:
- Human Resources — employee records, onboarding workflows, org chart.
- Payroll — pay runs, tax filings, payslip generation.
- Finance & FP&A — budgets, forecasts, financial reports.
- Spend Management — purchase orders, expense claims, approvals.
- Contract Lifecycle Management — drafting, signing, renewals.
- AI Agents — automated task executions, AI-assisted actions.
Utilization data helps administrators understand adoption across the organization and identify underused modules.
Billing Transparency
Detailed Billing Breakdowns
Billing statements are now itemized by usage category. Each invoice line shows:
- The resource type (API calls, storage GB, feature seats).
- The quantity consumed during the billing period.
- The unit rate applied.
- The resulting charge.
This eliminates opaque flat-rate charges and makes it straightforward to reconcile platform costs against internal budgets.
Usage Forecasting
The platform analyses current usage trends and projects end-of-period totals. Forecasts are surfaced in the billing dashboard so that:
- Finance teams can anticipate charges before the billing period closes.
- Operations teams can take action to stay within budget thresholds.
- Admins receive early warnings when consumption is trending above expected levels.
Forecasts update continuously as new usage data arrives.
