Introducing the Lift Local Benchmark Leaderboard

Introducing the Lift Local Benchmark Leaderboard

Release v1.0.9

Competition is one of the most reliable drivers of athletic progress. Knowing where you stand relative to your peers — and relative to a wider field of athletes — creates a concrete target to chase. With v1.0.9, we're shipping the Benchmark Leaderboard: a live, filterable ranking of members by benchmark WOD scores, available to every gym on the platform.

What's in the release

A live leaderboard that updates as scores come in

No refresh button. No waiting until Monday morning for a coach to paste scores into a spreadsheet. The moment an athlete logs a benchmark result, the leaderboard reflects it. Whether you're running a benchmark week, an in-house competition, or simply tracking open gym performance, rankings stay current throughout the day.

Filters that make the comparison meaningful

A raw all-time leaderboard is interesting, but a filtered one is useful. The leaderboard supports three independent filter dimensions:

  • Programme track — compare scores within the same training context. A competitor-track athlete and a masters-track athlete are following different programmes; now their rankings can reflect that.
  • Age group — segment by peer cohort so athletes aren't comparing their back squat to someone twenty years younger.
  • Time period — scope the board to this week, this month, or all time. Coaches can use time-bounded views to track progress across a training cycle.

Combine all three filters to get precisely the slice of data you need.

Cross-gym network rankings

For gyms in the Lift Local network, the leaderboard now surfaces rankings beyond your own four walls. Members can see how their scores stack up against athletes at every other gym on the platform. This is particularly valuable for athletes preparing for sanctioned events who want an objective read on where they sit in a broader competitive field — and for gym owners who want to understand how their community's performance compares at a network level.

Who benefits

  • Athletes get a clear, always-current picture of where they stand — locally and across the network.
  • Coaches can use leaderboard data to validate programming decisions and identify athletes ready for progression.
  • Gym owners gain a performance intelligence layer that complements the existing churn and injury risk dashboards.

Getting started

The leaderboard is available now in the platform. Navigate to the Community section and select Leaderboard. Scores logged against any benchmark WOD will appear automatically. Use the filter controls at the top of the page to select a track, age group, and time period.

For full documentation on filter options and role-based access, see the Benchmark Leaderboard feature guide.
