Onboarding Checklist Now Guides You Through the Core Workflow
Onboarding Checklist Now Guides You Through the Core Workflow
Released in v0.1.107
We've updated the onboarding checklist to focus on the steps that matter most when you're getting started — the actions that get you to your first completed check-in as quickly as possible.
What's new
The onboarding checklist previously included brand customisation tasks (uploading a logo and choosing a brand colour) as early, high-priority steps. While those settings are useful, they aren't what you need to do on day one.
The checklist now walks you through the critical path — the five steps that take you from a blank account to a running tenancy:
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Add your first property |
| 2 | Create a tenancy |
| 3 | Run a check-in report |
| 4 | Invite a teammate |
| 5 | Set up billing |
This order reflects how the product is actually used. You can't create a tenancy without a property. You can't run a check-in report without a tenancy. Steps 1–3 form the core value loop and are now front and centre.
Where did logo and brand colour go?
Those settings haven't been removed — they've moved to a more appropriate home.
Go to Settings > Organization to:
- Upload your organisation logo
- Set your brand colour
These are optional customisations you can configure any time. They no longer appear as onboarding checklist items.
Consistency across the product
The WorkQueue already showed a 3-step guide when your portfolio was empty — Add Property → Create Tenancy → Run Check-In. The onboarding checklist now reflects the same sequence, so you'll see a consistent picture of the workflow wherever you are in the product.
Getting started
If you're a new user, your onboarding checklist is available from the dashboard. Completing the first three steps takes most users under five minutes and gives you a working end-of-tenancy report you can explore immediately.
