With this release, the public-facing Direct Debit mandate form is fully implemented. Steps 7 and 8 bring the tenant journey to completion — from a conditional Right to Rent check through to a final review and submission.
Step 7 — Right to Rent (property mandates only)
Right to Rent is a conditional step shown only in the property mandate flow. It is skipped entirely for non-property mandates.
What happens
- The tenant is presented with the Right to Rent declaration.
- The tenant must tick a checkbox to confirm acceptance before they can proceed to the next step.
- The acceptance timestamp is recorded at the point the checkbox is ticked, creating an auditable record.

Step 8 — Confirmation
The final step gives the tenant a complete summary of everything they have entered before they commit to the mandate.
Summary fields displayed

Submitting the mandate
Once the tenant has reviewed the summary:
- They click Submit Mandate.
- The mandate creation request is triggered.
- A success state is displayed confirming the mandate has been set up.
- A DD confirmation email is automatically sent to the tenant.
Note: The bank details summary intentionally masks sensitive digits to reduce the risk of on-screen exposure while still giving the tenant enough information to verify the correct account is being used.
