Every gym has members whose stories deserve to be told — the person who came back after injury, the one who showed up at 5 AM every day for a year, or the quiet contributor who makes the community warmer just by being in it. With v1.0.49, coaches now have a dedicated tool to surface and celebrate those stories.
What We Shipped
The Member Spotlight & Coach Nomination System is a new community feature that lets coaches nominate a member of the month, author a written story about them, and broadcast that recognition across the in-app community feed and social channels.
It is a small workflow with a large human impact.
The Nomination Flow
Coaches navigate to the nomination interface, pick a member, and write their story. There are no templates or rigid fields — just a space for the coach to say what they genuinely want to say about that member's journey. Once submitted, the spotlight is published to the community feed where every member in the gym can see it.
At the point of publication, the platform prompts the coach and gym owner to share the spotlight to their connected social channels. One nomination becomes a community moment, and that community moment becomes visible to anyone who follows the gym online.
Why This Matters
For members: Being recognised by name, by your coach, in front of your whole gym community is meaningful. It validates effort that often goes unseen and reinforces the sense that this gym is more than a place to train — it is a place that knows you.
For coaches: The nomination system gives coaches a structured moment each month to practise intentional recognition. It is easy to see a member's progress and say nothing. This feature makes acknowledgment a habit.
For gym owners: Member retention is tied closely to emotional investment in the community. Spotlights drive that investment. The social sharing component also puts real member stories — not stock photography or promotional copy — in front of prospective members, building authentic brand credibility.
