Retaining top talent is one of the most operationally costly challenges for HR and people teams. Historically, flight risk is only recognised after an employee has already begun disengaging — or worse, after they have resigned. The AI Talent Retention Agent changes this by continuously monitoring the signals that matter and surfacing risk before it becomes attrition.


What It Does

The AI Talent Retention Agent monitors a combination of employee signals in real time and uses them to produce a per-employee flight-risk score. When that score crosses a configurable threshold, the agent proactively alerts the relevant manager and provides concrete retention recommendations — giving leaders a window to act before a resignation lands on their desk.


Monitored Signals

The agent tracks four core signal categories:

These signals are combined into a composite risk model. No single data point determines flight risk; the agent evaluates the full picture.


Proactive Manager Alerts

When an employee's flight-risk score exceeds the configured threshold, managers receive an alert that includes:

  • A summary of which signals are contributing to the elevated risk
  • The employee's current risk level
  • A set of actionable retention recommendations tailored to the specific contributing factors (e.g. compensation adjustment, role development conversation, increased recognition)

Alerts are delivered through:

  • In-app notifications in the HR dashboard
  • Email notifications via the platform's existing notification infrastructure

How to Get Started

  1. Enable the agent from the AI Agents section of your HR module settings.
  2. Configure the risk threshold — the sensitivity level at which manager alerts are triggered. The default threshold is set to balance signal quality with alert volume.
  3. Assign manager mappings — ensure employees have correct manager relationships in the directory so alerts route to the right people.
  4. Review alert recommendations — managers can view, act on, or dismiss recommendations directly from the alert panel in their dashboard.

Privacy and Data Handling

The Talent Retention Agent processes data within your existing tenant boundary. Individual risk scores are only visible to the direct manager and authorised HR administrators. Scores are not surfaced to the employee.
