Introducing the Morning Check-In: Know Your Readiness Before You Train
Release v1.0.95
The best training decisions start before you step onto the floor. With v1.0.95, we're introducing the Morning Check-In — a sub-30-second daily habit that gives members and coaches a clear picture of readiness before the session begins.
The Problem It Solves
Training outcomes depend heavily on recovery state. A member who slept poorly, is carrying significant soreness, or is under high stress should not be pushed through the same session as one who is fully recovered. Without a lightweight daily signal, coaches and the AI programming layer are flying blind.
Existing wearable integrations capture objective data well, but they miss the subjective dimension — the how you feel that athletes know better than any sensor.
What the Morning Check-In Captures
Each morning, members complete a four-input check-in covering:
- HRV — perceived heart rate variability and recovery
- Sleep Duration — hours logged the previous night
- Soreness Rating — current muscular fatigue and soreness
- Stress Level — mental and emotional load
These four signals are combined with any connected wearable data to produce a readiness score — a single, actionable number that reflects how ready a member is to train today.
Designed for Consistency
The check-in lives as a home screen widget. Members see it the moment they open the app, and one-tap habit marking means completing it requires almost no friction. Sub-30-second completion is the goal — long enough to be meaningful, short enough to actually happen every day.
Consistency is what makes this data valuable. A single check-in is useful. A streak of 30 gives coaches and the AI a meaningful trend to act on.
How It Feeds into AI Programming
The readiness score isn't just informational — it's an input to the platform's AI programming layer. A low readiness score can trigger adjustments to session intensity, volume, or track selection for the day. Members who are consistently under-recovered can be flagged to coaches through the health and recovery dashboard.
This closes a key loop in the platform: wearable data + subjective check-in → readiness score → personalised daily programming.
Getting Started
The Morning Check-In is available now. Members will see the widget on their home screen automatically. No setup is required.
For coaches and gym owners, member check-in data and readiness scores are visible in the member health and recovery dashboard, giving you an at-a-glance view of your community's recovery status before programming decisions are made.
