Never Miss a Prescribed Information Deadline Again

Missing the deadline to serve prescribed information is one of the most consequential compliance slip-ups a landlord or letting agent can make. From today, our platform watches those deadlines for you — automatically, every night.

What We Shipped

With v0.1.202 we introduced the Prescribed Info Overdue Status Sweep: a nightly batch job that runs at 02:00 UTC and scans every generated-but-unserved prescribed information document on the platform.

If a document's service deadline has passed and it hasn't been marked as served, the workflow:

  1. Flags it as overdue — the document status moves to overdue immediately.
  2. Raises a compliance alert — a high-priority compliance/alert.raised event is fired, feeding into your audit trail and any connected integrations.
  3. Notifies your admins — every organisation admin receives a critical in-app notification so the right people know first thing in the morning.

Why This Matters

Prescribed information deadlines are not optional. Under current tenancy law, failing to serve prescribed information on time can strip a landlord of the ability to regain possession and expose them to financial penalties. In a busy agency managing dozens of tenancies, even one missed deadline is one too many.

Manual chasing and spreadsheet reminders are no longer good enough. This sweep is invisible when everything is on track, and loud when something needs attention — exactly the kind of safety net your compliance workflow needs.

How It Works in Practice

There's nothing to configure. The sweep runs on a schedule. If all your prescribed information documents are served on time, you'll never see it. If one slips through, your admins will have a critical notification waiting for them by the time they open the platform in the morning — with enough time to act before the working day is underway.

What's Next

This sweep is the first in a series of automated compliance monitors we're building into the platform. Future releases will extend similar coverage to other time-sensitive compliance obligations under the Renters' Rights Act.
