Introducing Injury Risk Scoring & Monitoring — v1.0.99
Introducing Injury Risk Scoring & Monitoring
Release v1.0.99
Injuries are the single biggest disruptor to athlete progress — and to a gym's retention numbers. With v1.0.99, the platform ships a fully automated injury risk monitoring system that gives coaches the early warning signals they need to intervene before a member gets hurt.
The Problem It Solves
Most gym software tells you what happened. A member missed three sessions, their attendance dropped, they cancelled. By then it's too late.
Injury prevention requires looking at leading indicators — volume load trends, recovery quality, perceived exertion — and acting on them before the injury occurs. Until now, that kind of monitoring required a coach to manually review each member's data and do the maths themselves. That doesn't scale.
What's Shipped
Green / Amber / Red Risk Indicators
Every member now has a live injury risk indicator, computed automatically from five signals:
- Session volume trends — is load climbing faster than the body can adapt?
- RPE scores — is the member consistently working harder than their baseline?
- Soreness logs — is fatigue accumulating without adequate recovery?
- Training age — how resilient is this athlete to volume increases?
- Readiness data — what does today's recovery state actually look like?
The model combines these inputs into a single, actionable status: Green (all clear), Amber (watch closely), or Red (act now).
Automated Volume Spike Alerts
A week-on-week volume increase of more than 25% is a well-established injury risk threshold. The platform now tracks this automatically and fires a coach alert the moment any member crosses it — no manual review required.
Deload Intervention Suggestions
Detecting risk is only half the job. When the system flags a member, it also surfaces a suggested deload intervention — a concrete, programme-level recommendation the coach can apply in a few clicks. The coach stays in control; the platform does the groundwork.
Who Benefits
Coaches get a prioritised, sorted view of their at-risk members every morning. Instead of reviewing fifty member profiles, they see exactly who needs attention and what to do about it.
Gym owners reduce the injury-driven churn that silently kills retention. A member who gets injured and deloads on a structured plan is far more likely to stay than one who disappears for six weeks with no follow-up.
Members train with more confidence knowing their programme is being monitored for their long-term health — not just their short-term performance.
Getting Started
The Injury Risk dashboard is live now. Head to Dashboard → Injury Risk to see your member list sorted by risk indicator. Volume spike alerts will begin appearing in your Notifications panel as weekly recalculations run.
