Product Search & Filtering

Product Search & Filtering

The dashboard includes a full-text search input and a global filter bar that let you quickly narrow down the product list to what matters most.

Full-Text Search

The search box queries across:

  • Product names
  • Product descriptions
  • Full dossier content (mission statement, feature list, competitor weakness analysis)

Results update live as you type — no page reload required.

Filter Bar

The filter bar sits above the product table and provides five independent controls. All filters can be combined.

Category (multi-select)

Select one or more product categories to limit results. Useful when you want to focus on a specific segment of the proptech market (e.g. CRM, lettings, valuation tools).

Pricing Tier

Filter by the pricing model detected during crawl:

ValueDescription
freeNo cost to the end user
freemiumFree tier with paid upgrades
paidSubscription or one-off purchase
enterpriseCustom / contact-sales pricing

Minimum Composite Score

Set a numeric threshold (0–100). Only products whose composite opportunity score meets or exceeds the threshold are displayed. Use this to surface only the highest-opportunity candidates.

Status

Filter by the current pipeline status of a product (e.g. active, archived, in-review).

Crawl Date Range

Restrict results to products first discovered within a chosen date window. Useful for reviewing what was found in the most recent crawl run.

Sharing Filters

All active filters and the current search query are written to the page URL as query parameters. To share a filtered view with a colleague:

  1. Apply the filters you want.
  2. Copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
  3. Send it — the recipient will land on the exact same filtered state.

Example URL structure:

/dashboard?q=tenant+referencing&category=CRM,lettings&pricingTier=paid&minScore=65&status=active&crawlFrom=2025-01-01&crawlTo=2025-06-30

Filter state is also preserved on page refresh and browser back/forward navigation.

Tips

  • Use Minimum Composite Score ≥ 70 as a starting point to surface strong build candidates.
  • Combine Category + Crawl Date Range to review what new products appeared in a specific segment after a fresh crawl.
  • The search box works well for finding a specific vendor by name when you know what you're looking for.
