Notion Integration

Notion Integration

Sidekick's Notion integration adapter lets your AI agent connect directly to your Notion workspaces. It can read pages, update databases, and create new content — all autonomously, without you lifting a finger.

What the Agent Can Do

Read Pages

The agent can retrieve the full content of any Notion page it has access to. This is used to:

  • Summarise long documents on request.
  • Cross-reference information across multiple pages.
  • Pull context from your knowledge base when responding to queries.

Update Databases

The agent can update rows and properties in any Notion database it has access to. Use cases include:

  • Keeping project trackers in sync as tasks change status.
  • Logging activity or events automatically.
  • Writing structured data back into tables from other connected services.

Create Content

The agent can create new pages and database entries in your workspace. This enables:

  • Auto-generating meeting notes or summaries.
  • Scaffolding new project pages from templates.
  • Capturing information from other integrations (email, chat, calendar) directly into Notion.

Agent Automations

AutomationDescription
Auto-organise notesThe agent restructures and files notes across your workspace based on content and context.
Update project trackersDatabase records are updated autonomously as work progresses across connected tools.
Cross-reference informationThe agent reads across pages and databases to surface related content and resolve gaps.

Connecting Notion

  1. Go to Dashboard → Integrations.
  2. Find Notion in the integrations list and click Connect.
  3. Authorise Sidekick via the Notion OAuth flow — select the workspaces and pages you want to grant access to.
  4. Once connected, your agent will have access to the permitted pages and databases immediately.

Tip: You control exactly which pages and databases Sidekick can access during the Notion OAuth authorisation step. You can revise permissions at any time from your Notion workspace settings.

Permissions & Privacy

  • Sidekick only accesses the Notion content you explicitly authorise during the OAuth flow.
  • No Notion content is stored beyond what is needed to complete an active agent task.
  • You can revoke access at any time from Dashboard → Integrations → Notion → Disconnect.

Available Since

Notion integration is available from v1.0.29 onwards.
